6/19/10 – Ernest Harden, Jr.

Brazoria County Cavalry,

This is to be posted on your website as a Thank you letter from my father, Ernest S. Harnden, Jr., Chief Gunner’s Mate of the Navy, WWII.

“It’s hard to express how big an honor you gave use Vets.  We were lucky to live through WWI; all so many ships went down.  I didn’t know you people were doing such a wonderful job in honoring our Vets.  I will never forget the heartfelt proud feeling to be a part of it all.  The fire truck and motorcycles were awesome!  All the Vets were eating it up.  It was a wonderful experience; you can’t top it.  You made our day. “

Brazoria County Cavalry I salute you!

6/19/10 – Christopher Petrosky

I just got a call from the grandmother who was at the first ride this past Sat. (yesterday at 1:00 in Brazoria).  She said that they all talked about that until late last night. They had the best time. They were all touched and could not believe how many riders showed up just for their grandson. This will be a day that they will never forget. Her husband was one of the grandpa’s we honored as a vet. He cried and said that he never thought he would ever hear the words, “Welcome Home”. He said that meant so much to him and could see how sincere BCC really was about our mission in life. He said he could feel the love and admiration from each and everyone of us. Chris could not believe that people who didn’t even know him, showed up to send him off. He told his grandmother, that yesterday really made him feel proud to do what he was doing. I have always said, “You never know when ONE act, or ONE word of encouragement can change a Life forever”! My dear friends…… we did JUST THAT!! We changed the heart of that vet and the grandson. Forever!!! We opened the door for the grandpa to finally speak out about his ordeal. She said he shared stories with them last night that they have never heard!!! THAT’S WHEN YOU FEEL SO PROUD OF WHAT YOU DO on those very hot days!! Everyone deserves a pat on the back for a Job so well done!! You make ME so proud to be a part of such caring individuals. God bless each and every one of you!!! I am so proud to call you “friends”. It just makes my day when I get phone calls like that. Thanks for all your help and assistance. Yesterday was a great day and the last ride was a terrific way to end it!!! Gary and I felt so good, (tired maybe) but we felt like we had really accomplished a lot. Thanks for the opportunity to serve our county by taking these leads when we can. It means a lot to us!!!!  Okay, I’m through!! See you later!!!

6/13/10 – Michael & Mindy Venable and Johnny Bensley

I want to thank each and every one of you for the Welcome Home that was given to my son Michael Venable and his wife Mindy, and of course for the long awaited Welcome Home for my Vietnam Veteran husband Johnny. Words cannot express my sincere appreciation for all that was done.

I was so excited when I saw all the bikes lined up on each side and when my son and wife drove up between all the bikes. It was AMAZING!

For all that you do – THANK YOU! You give the soldiers a special feeling and then they KNOW that people at home are supporting them in so many ways. I am proud to be a member of this group and proud that I have so many kids that have either served in the past or are on active duty and always proud of my Vietnam Vet husband.
God Bless all of you and thank you for a wonderful day for my family!!!

6/12/10 – BCC Office Opening

I just wanted to thank all the members of the Brazoria County Cavalry for having faith in me to do this wall of honor. Not only because of the wall that I did (with God guiding my every move), but the room as a whole, with all the efforts that were donated by so many people. It’s true what Tracy said….”When you enter that room, it definitely hits home with you and makes you realize the importance of the military and all of the first responders”.  I hope and pray that all of this means as much to everyone as it has to me. May God continue to bless each and everyone that’s in the military and the first responders. I pray that He give each member of this awesome club the strength to carry on. I’m here for you anytime you need me.

6/12/10 – Jason Boisvert

Well I first wanted to say I am sorry that writing this has taken me so long I have been chasing my tail since I have gotten home. Second, I wanted to extend my thanks to you and the cavalry for recognizing myself and my family. I didn’t know that there where still kind hearted people in the world and knowing that there are organizations like you guys that ensure that soldiers, sailors, and first responders get that recognition is truly heart warming. I will never forget what you guys did for me and I hope that one day somehow I can return that same gratitude to a service member coming home. I hope and pray that God keeps you safe on all of your journeys and if you are ever in OKC my home is open to all of you guys. From one rider to another keep the rubber on the road and your knees in the breeze
