8/26/13 Tony Gonzalez Honoring Jauregui Family

I was at the event on Saturday (8-24-2013) evening at the VFW post in Clute Tx, honoring the Jauregui family for their service in the military. I had never experienced an event like this. The sound of the motorcycles coming down the road and all the riders approaching the VFW hall. All patriots of our country, coming to honor others, that never got a welcome back for serving our country. The ceremony was just wonderful, breath taking and got to each and every ones heart. We are so happy, even if I have never served in the armed forces to live in a wonderful country as the USA. It’s because of people like you that served and fought, that we have our freedom. I would also like to say thank you Brazoria County Cavalry for volunteering your services, dedication to recognize your fellow Americans. Your support is very well needed, because these young men and women that serve our country may come back alive, injured or dead. It’s like sometime we forget all this, but their suffering goes on for them and their families for the rest of their lives.

One other thing I would like to mention is, even if he was not on the program, you still took time for my father and he was recognized for being in WW II
Veteran.

Thank you Brazoria County Calvary for taking the time.

I wanted to thank you and the entire Brazoria County Cavalry for going above and beyond to make Sunday such an amazingly special day for Uncle Jerry.

I was so moved by your mission and what you all put into honoring Jerry. Words cannot express the gratitude our family feels.

What you do for our Veterans is a blessing. Your selfless effort is undeniable, and you have given Jerry and our family a gift that we will be forever grateful for.

Standing in the audience, watching the ceremony, I could feel the power and the love from each and every one of you. Amazing is not a big enough word! Thank you will never fully express the gratitude! This was a day that will never be forgotten.

With Love and Respect,

8/20/13 Annette Brown Honoring Gerald Means

To ALL the wonderful members of the Brazoria County Cavalry,

I want to let you know how much I appreciate all the time and effort that you put into the ride that honored my brother, Gerald “Jerry” Means. It is so difficult to even make an attempt to express in words the feeling that is in our hearts. What you accomplish through your work in this organization is nothing short of amazing, awesome and spectacular!!! It was very obvious that an enormous amount of time and dedication is put into these rides. This was truly a day that will be remembered forever by our entire family.

I must include a very special word of appreciation for all the hard work that Susan Oltz did in preparing for this event! She dedicated many hours making sure everything was in place for a complete success! My family will be forever indebted to her for her work in this! She took an enormous amount of time with phone calls, emails and obtaining “props” to make sure this became a very memorable event! I can never thank her enough for her dedication!

Of course, I cannot pass up the opportunity to say a special “Thank You” to Tracy Read for being the founder of this wonderful organization here in Brazoria County! You have made sure that so many have been honored that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. I am sure this has pretty much absorbed you, and your precious wife’s entire lives. A simple “thank you” seems so minor in comparison to the countless hours you put into recognizing others. God will truly bless you for your dedication to all the military personnel that you have honored. Please accept our appreciation, love and prayers for what you do!

I suppose I will try to sum this all up by just saying “we THANK YOU, we APPRECIATE you and we LOVE each of you……more than you will ever know”!!!

7/22/13 Tina Sheffield Honoring Joe Schaefer

You might say…he was a stranger…since you never met Schaefer …but to the CAVALRY he was not. Words of gratitude cannot be measured in how our FAMILY felt today when the CAVALRY arrived at my daddy\’s home to Honor the WWII Veteran. AWESOME!!!! To participate in the Pledge of Allegiance and Prayer with a man of HONOR is truly a blessing.

Memories of today will live in our hearts forever.
