9/27/13 Fallen Firefighter Ronald Clem

Cavalry,
Thank you so much for the support at my dad’s funeral. Of course my dad was a hero to me, but it was wonderful to see how much he affected others. Your presence was comforting, the escort was amazing and my dad would have loved it. I am truly humbled at the outpouring of support your group gave to a man you had never even met. The presentation at the service was perfect, very respectful and non-intrusive. I felt very proud to have been the one to initiate this presentation on behalf of my father. This is the first time I have been present at a function you’ve attended, but it will certainly not be my last. The support you offer just by being present is amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better tribute.

A simple thank you is not enough to express the gratitude we feel.
God Bless you for the things you do.
Sincerely, Lisa Jo Myers Daughter of Ron Clem

8/28/13 Leslie Bryson Honoring Harold Clark

Cavalry,

Gary, Jerry and all of the Cavalry did a marvelous job at Harold Clark’s funeral today. Unfortunately the service was a bit longer than expected, but the Cavalry never complained, never got restless and showed the decorum and dignity a fallen hero deserves. I was very proud to be a part of the organization as they helped me send my friend to his final rest. The family was very grateful and moved that total strangers would honor their father with so much respect.

What the Brazoria County Cavalry does is beyond priceless. Gary is in obvious pain, but you can see in his eyes what honoring these heroes’ means to him. Tracy, I have seen it in your eyes and many of the others in this organization. God bless all of you. You have each won your wings well before your time and we mere mortals cannot say thank you enough.

A speedy recovery to you my friend; there are more heroes to honor. Today we proudly honored one of mine. Cpl Harold Lester Clark, United States Army, Veteran of the big war, “The one me and Archy Bunker fought in.”, to quote him directly.

8/27/13 Eva Galicia

Cavalry, this is Eva Galicia, thank you so much for honoring my family and others that were there on August 24th at the VFW Post 8576 Clute, Texas. You all did a fantastic job and it was so over whelming, can’t stop talking about it. It was much more than what I anticipated.

8/26/13 Bob Jauregui

I was one of the men recognized this past Saturday evening by the Brazoria County Cavalry.
My name is Eulalio (Robert) Jauregui Jr. My cousin’s Refugio, Simon and Louie Jauregui plus three other men recognized, which forgive me but I don’t have their names, were present. But all Veterans.
At the time we were asked if any of us had any words to say. We were all so overwhelmed with the surprise of being honored that we were speechless.
I want to take this time to say a few words of gratitude and how honored I personally was to have
been recognized by this group. I’ve been to parades and veterans meeting where all present were honored but this past Saturday was made special by the Brazoria County Cavalry. Special because I felt it was done in a very personal way. It was made even more special by the family and friends who were present. All the certificates, medals, Texas flag and gifts presented will be displayed in my home in honor and remembrance of the occasion. I can’t thank the Brazoria County Cavalry enough.
God Bless what all of you do.
Please pass this on to all your members.
