7/22/10 – Alice Redd

Just wanted to take a minute to thank both of your organizations for your truly inspiring presence at Alice Redd’s last rites and your support from the salute in chapel, leading the procession to the cemetery with all of your flags full in the wind, taps your ‘old glory’ folding & presenting.  I am certain that you gestures would have made Alice proud to have served in the army in WWII thinking that you who did not know her – only her service – took time out to honor her.  As I remember the weather was not the best but you guys and ladies came anyway which shows a lot of spirit and that you all take seriously the support of our armed services and those who serve.

Thanks again – PATROIT GUARD RIDERS and BRAZORIA COUNTY CAVALRY!

Alice’s son in law, Ray McCarren

PS:   Joe Kilchrist  –  thank you for making this possible
