7/22/10 – Alice Redd
What a beautiful sendoff you and the Brazoria County Cavalry provided for our dear mother, Alice Redd, on July 22, 20l0. You went above and beyond riding through rain and storms to St. Dominic Village to help us recognize the efforts our mom put forth to serve her country in WWII. As veterans yourselves, you could appreciate the sacrifices our mom made in serving the country she dearly loved. I’m sure our mom was looking down with a smile when she saw that magnificent motorcade escorting her to her final resting place. How touching to see the Marine home on leave, in full uniform, standing at attention, to also honor our mother. Joe Kilchrist explained that he was the son of one of your members, home on leave from Afghanistan. What a wonderful man he is, serving his country and also honoring those who served before him.
Thanks, so very much, to all of you for volunteering your time to make this a memorable and meaningful celebration for me and my family as we bid farewell to our mother who was loved so much. We greatly appreciate you all and the beautiful service that you provide.
Sincerely,
Maureen McCarren (and Family of Alice Redd)
