Boots Henry Family Christmas – 12/27/09

I finally got a few minutes to sit down with the computer. I just want to say the kids and I are really enjoying our new home. I have put all of the money donated into a separate account just for the mortgage. Now that we don’t have a payment until June we are going to take the money we would normally use for our payment and put half of it into that account each month to keep adding to our payments so we wont have to take a full payment out of our check for quite awhile. I told Boots about the mortgage payments and I thought he was going to pass out on the phone…he was speechless. He should be sending you all an email. I haven’t told him about the things done to the house yet I think I might show him on video. That way he can get a full idea of what all was done and given. We got our dining room table which is very large and gorgeous! I love it. We also got our couches and they are just beautiful. Our home doesn’t look the same nor does it feel the same. My kids have such an appreciation for all that was done. They go through the house everyday talking about how amazed they are by the generosity of everyone. And that is where I would like to say something. When Boots and I moved down here the first thing we noticed, after we noticed how green it was, is how nice everyone is here. Not that people aren’t nice where we came from but you just don’t see as many of them all in one place…it seemed like EVERYONE we met was warm welcoming and generally nice. That is a big reason why we chose here to live. We had no idea how giving of themselves and how truly caring the people of Brazoria County and surrounding counties were. I told Boots that I never knew there were so many saints in one place much less one county. This deployment hit us pretty hard financially emotionally and physically. I just want to let everyone know that you have taken ALL of that away!!! We greatly appreciate ALL of it. I want you to know me and my family will be here if any of you ever need us for anything anytime. Thank you to the Brazoria County Cavalry and everyone that donated and helped.   We love you!

 Thank you so much!
