Memorial Fence 10/05/08

Brazoria County Cavalry,
Jim and I would like to express the sincere gratitude and heart felt thank you to you all. What a blessing you guys and ladies are to us. When we came in from our daughter’s house and saw our fence on the ground we were very saddened by the sight. We decided to rebuild by first picking the fence off the ground and pulling up the broken 4×4 posts. From there we were not sure how or when it would be back up again. Then Alvey Crask called and said he had contacted Brazoria Coutny Cavalry to help get the individual crosses off the broken fence. And then on Sunday afternoon, it was standing just three weeks from destruction to re-building what an accomplishment. I know each of you had your own repairs to homes and yards to work on, as I know you also had been through “Ike” and the misery he caused us all. For the Cavalry to give up a Sunday afternoon to help strangers is a testimony to the character and content of your BIG hearts. We are so proud to know your group. If you ever need our help please call so we can repay a small portion of the help you are to us. A special thanks to Stony Ward, Tony Martinez, Joanna Bertrand and David Soria who came at 9:00 am and began the hard work of building a fence. May God continue to bless you as you bless others with your kindness, patriotism and service to your neighbors in Brazoria County.
May God keep you in his care.
Jimmy and Mary Jackson
