TJ Guzman, Jr. – 11/7/09
I don’t know how to start this thank you letter. I will write it straight from my heart. I was so touched today when I saw all the members of the Cavalry come help send off TJ. today. My family and I realized we are not alone when it comes to caring about my nephew Pfc TJ Arturo Guzman Jr. I had called last month about helping us send off TJ on his second tour. Right away you said yes give me place and time. TJ deploys for Iraq Nov 15 09. It was more then we ever imagine. We had told TJ we were getting all the family together for a family pic before he was deployed. So we had family there. He went outside when we heard sirens and we all watched the fire trucks come around the corner and then all the RIDERS… Oh My… The look on TJs face….It just brought tears to me. We told him all this was for him. And he was just looking like he could not believe it.
And then all the awards were given to him and the gifts. We never expected all this. Brazoria County I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today was a day we will never forget. TJ will take this with him to Iraq. He now knows about his extended family all those men and women on bikes, fire trucks, .cars and all who came to honor him. It was very touching for my whole family and I wish to thank you all. And if we can ever help you all let us know. When these men and women got here we were strangers. Before they left we were one big family. I do have to say this to Luis Luna. You made TJ’s day by letting him sit on your bike. We all saw that big smile on his face.
Thank you all and God Bless each and every one of you
