J.D. Spiller – 7/30/09

Words can not express the gratitude I feel for the Brazoria County Cavalry for honoring my brother Sgt. JD Spiller today.  You guys were given very little notice, yet showed up sirens blaring and engines roaring for one soldier whom you had never met.  JD has given up so much this past year in order to serve.  Your presence today proved to him, and me that his service is not in vain; there are true Americans who respect and honor what he is doing over there.  The time he has to spend at home is NEVER enough, but I guarantee you that BCC’s visit today made it memorable.  He will not forget that there are people here who care and are praying for him and every man and woman serving our country and preserving our freedom.  JD will return to his unit and tell his men how he was honored by you guys.  He will share the love and respect he was shown today and carry forward your gift.  Thank you all for allowing my brother the opportunity, that some of you never received… a welcome home.  Your service, gifts, and outward love for your country and God will never be forgotten.  Thank you for what you do.  You are all truly amazing people.

Many Blessings,

Rachel Caffey
