Les Downing 05/10/08

I would like to thank each and everyone of who participated with the funeral arrangement of my father, Les Downing. Even though my father’s death was expected, when the time came, it was even harder than I imagined. I am very grateful to Brazoria County Cavalry, to honor him in this way, I know he would have been honored. As a Veteran myself, I believe that we are all here to serve a purpose and it doesn’t stop once you are a civilian again, only intensifies what we all protected, our Freedom. My father, help establish what is today, called the National ABATE of America, starting with Brazoria County. Both he and my Mom were members and heavily involved in the rights of “bikers”. Special thanks go to Tracy Read for his guidance and Cliff Gutzman for his commitment of honor my father and my very close friend, Tracy Turner, who had worked for my father and became a long time friend of the family, I thank you. With closing, my heart was filled with emotion on the day of my father’s funeral, as I just lost my mother 5 months early. The Brazoria County Cavalry clearly was a great attribute to me and my family. I thank you…..
