It was a long, hot, sweaty weekend, but yet we still had people there no matter what. The dedication and support for our American heroes was outstanding this weekend. Let’s see…we made a Colonel cry, we buried one of our brothers, which was one of the saddest things I have ever had the honor to witness. We visited a soldier going back in harm’s way, went to see a married couple who were captains in the army and really understood what we were doing, and had a lot to say about it. We had a Korean War Vet in tears. The healing process begins again. We did an impromptu visit to a 9 year navy man, a visit to one of our own members going in to the Navy to make a career out of it. And last, a marine who thought it wasn’t even for him. It was a very full weekend. I want to say thank you to everyone who made it through this long, hot, very emotional weekend. If it wasn’t for all the dedicated members we have, we could not make the impact that we do. It is an honor to stand next to this group every weekend.

I thought the Calvary was outstanding during a tough time; to see so many tough old guys wiping tears was an honor to the soldier. The general that was their made this old vet feel special. I know she shook hands with just about everybody in the flag line but, as she got to me, I felt she made it personal as she took my right hand, I could tell she was reading my patches. Then she put her left hand on my Vietnam veterans patch looked me straight in the eyes and thanked me for my service and I thanked her for service. She probably did this to all vets but it felt personal to me anyway. Makes you feel excepted

Thank you so very much for your support of our hero! We really appreciate the Calvary coming out. The ceremony was beautiful & we were very touched by it. I know that your efforts & gifts meant a lot to Justin. He is now serving overseas again. The fact that you guys take time out of your lives to show love & support for people that are often unknown to you is amazing! I just wish that all those who leave to serve & protect our freedom would get the opportunity to be honored with a visit from you. The brave young soldier who has recently been captured is in Justin’s unit & we are concerned for his safety as well as the others who are trying to rescue him from harm. Please join us in continuing to pray for all those who have served, are serving, & will serve to keep us safe!

First I would like to say Thank You for supporting my family and me. And Thanks to My wife Patsy and my 2 Kids, Ethan and Carley, for being there when I need them the most. The ride was a complete surprise to my family and me. Special thanks to Aunt Jackie (Doo). Thank You for Allen and the whole Brazoria County Calvary.
