Thank you so much for engineering all of the tokens of appreciation from the community. It was overwhelming and none of us were expecting for Seth to receive so much. There are absolutely no words to describe the feeling we all got when we could hear the sirens but could not yet see the trucks. When they then turned the corner, I am sure there was not a dry eye to be found! The entire ceremony was just wonderfully amazing. I must also give thanks to my dear friends John and Marsha Goodson for their help in setting everything up for us. It was just a great day all the way around! Somehow we managed to keep it a secret from Seth for three weeks! Thanks again for your organization of the event!
We will all remember it forever.

Hi,
My name is Sharina Mears. I am Seth Baker’s sister. I just wanted to say thank you to the Brazoria County Cavalry for the support ya’ll give our troops. It was truly an amazing experience to have the Cavalry there at Seth’s celebration. I know he especially appreciated everyone being there to support him. It is an experience we will all never forget.
Thanks again,
Sharina Mears

I apologize for this being some time getting to you. I really want to extend my heartfelt thanks for what you did for Seth. As I said before, to say that the ceremony was overwhelming would be a serious understatement. The effort that the Cavalry put forth was truly admirable and makes me proud to be a citizen of Brazoria County and of the United States. I feel that the honor that you give these young men and women cannot be matched anywhere in the state of Texas, or the nation for that matter. Seth is a very reserved young man so seeing him moved to tears showed the amount of emotion that you and your squad carried with you when you honored him. I have seen the dedication of the Brazoria County Cavalry at different events and unfortunately, in times of tragedy. You and the men and women of the Cavalry should hold your heads high and relish in the fact that you are paying the utmost homage to the men and women that serve in our armed forces and are giving them the honor that they deserve. Again, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for the honor and dedication you paid to my son.
Sincerely,
Russ Baker

I would like to say thank you all for being a part of the welcoming home party. My nephew Jason was really surprise by the turn out, my brother Joe and wife Mary were as well, as my family. They did not know that this is where I was spending some of my time. They were really impressed. They said that Roger, the ladies and guys really made it very special night for everyone. My mother and Aunt were very happy during the whole event. To see this many people come out in the middle of the week for my nephew. I think my nephew surprised us all when he told all of us that he had volunteered to serve four more years in the navy, but also to go to Iraq as a ground force. Roger and the Cavalry lead us all in a prayer for my nephew Jason and the family, with Gods Blessing he will be home soon. It goes to show that we have a lot of strong kids in this world that just want to make it safe for all of us to enjoy. Once again from the bottom of my heart you guys are doing a great job. Keep it up and I look forward to riding with you in the future. I will see if I can get some of the pictures that Carmen took last night and pass them on. Take care and have a nice day. We are going to get together tonight at the American Legion around 9: 00 PM after our monthly membership meeting for a few drinks with my nephew. The cavalry is welcome to come on out.
