Kenneth “Porkchop” LeCompte – 10/17/09

I can never bring to words my true gratitude but please accept this effort.  Again the LeCompte family would like to say thanks to the Cavalry. I tend to be real emotional at these events but this helps us know that we are not the only ones affected.  I really appreciate the extra effort J.D. took to get the names and family ties straight I am the Grandfather and I get confused sometimes. You helped us welcome home Kerry LeCompte, welcome home Richard LeCompte  and now send off Kenneth (pork chop) LeCompte.   Kenneth had not expected this ride because he & his wife Katherine received recognition when we welcomed Richard home from his deployment.  We also had another Grandson Edward Byrd  that served with the 82nd.that we are very proud of but his deployment & return happened before we started these events

Andrew Lux – 10/10/09

I just wanted to thank the Brazoria County Calvary on behalf of myself and my mother-in-law Valarie Collier for coming out and honoring our husband and son, Airman Andrew Lux for his military service. It is always appreciated when people try to understand what service members go through! We are settled in at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. There is talk of a deployment in the next few months so we ask that you keep us in your prayers that Gods hand will continue to cover him wherever he sends our soldier. Again, I want to thank you for your love and support that you shared! It was an experience to remember!! I have photos to share as well!
 Blessings,
 Kristin Lux

Robert “Brandon” Sipple – 10/10/09

I do not have the capacity to tell you how proud I am of the Brazoria County Calvary.  There are many special, unselfish people in Brazoria County, but in my opinion, the Brazoria County Calvary ranks on top.  The impact you made on my Grandson will last a lifetime.  He cherishes the gifts he has received, but as he said, the greatest gift of all is to know he is supported back home.  He wanted no recognition, but after the visit, he was truly moved as were Lori and I as we were brought to tears.  Thank you and the entire group for being so very special.  May God protect you all and keep you safe in your endeavors.  We are truly blessed to be here because of people like you.

Sincerely,

Bob Sipple

Thank You!

There are no words to adequately express how proud and pleased and humbled I am to have been a part of the Brazoria County Cavalry’s event this evening.  You are an amazing group of American heroes.  I am there for you day or night; all you have to do is call.
Sincerely,
Laurie Kincannon
