Veterans Day – 11/11/09

I want to thank you for a remarkable day. Our family was all together and we had a wonderful time. I had such a fun ride and they all had fun laughing about Grammy on the bike.  Thank you for all your kind words and they are much appreciated. You will never know what you have meant to Leroy in dealing with his bad memories. We truly feel like God sent your group at a time when he needed someone.

Blessings to you, we love you.

Thank You!

I wanted to thank you again for allowing me to participate in today’s event. The response from the children overwhelmed me and I completely lost everything I had memorized to say to them. I apologize if I seemed to get a little stuck but looking at all those little faces just did something to me. If another opportunity arises in the future I would like to speak again (this time I will have notes if necessary LOLl). Thank you again and see you soon. God Bless.

Thank You!

What comes to mind is “Thank You” from the bottom of my heart. I had met several BCC members at a KIA service earlier this year and it was a pleasure.  You have no idea what your organization means to an old Veteran that quite frankly hid the fact that I had served in Vietnam because of the way we were treated when we returned. Now through organizations like the BCC, I’m proud of what I did and all veterans as well. We can now walk with our heads up high. Again, Thank You.

Sincerely,

Billy Walker

Thanks to the Brazoria County Cavalry for all their involvement in several ways to make this a memorable day for Veterans and the community.

I am humbled by Mrs. Sharp mentioning of my gesture to T.J., it is an honor for me to give such a small token of my appreciation. My bike has more value knowing that it might somehow have touched or made someone’s day. I don’t care about any small scratches or whatever might be left on my bike, they can be polished out, and it just adds character to my bike. I will continue to do this if any individual agrees to take a picture on it, it’s my “Bike of Honor” I know as time passes someone, somewhere will have a picture of themselves sitting on my bike. I hope this will remind them of us the “Brazoria County Cavalry” and what we stood for during their time of service.
