Carriage Inn Honoring the Vet’s – 11/15/09

Dear Members of the Brazoria County Cavalry,

Please accept our heartfelt Thank You for all that you did in honoring our American Heroes. They were so blown away and truly touched as we all were. We will forever hold all of you in a special place in our hearts. All of you make us more proud of our Veterans, our Country, and of each of you. It’s hard to describe the emotions and feelings of seeing all of you coming down the street toward us. In honoring our Heroes we in turn honor each of you as Heroes God Bless you All.

Andy’s Kitchen – 11/15/09

First and foremost I would like to say thank you to each and every person who is involved in any way shape or form in the Brazoria County Calvary. What you guys do is so amazing. I know how time consuming and sometimes hectic it can be to devote your time for someone else. Believe me it doesn’t go unnoticed, you guys did a ride for the 272nd EN CO Texas Army National Guard at Andy’s kitchen on December the 6th 2009. It was an amazing event. I know the unit greatly appreciated you guys coming out and showing them the much needed support that they don’t get on a regular basis. For some of them they have never really been congratulated or thanked for what they do. I looked around at the faces of all the men and women out there and I could see pride in their faces for what we do. I know for the family members who were there it was just as important to them. You see that was our Christmas party and we had our whole families there. They got to see their husbands, wives, or parent recognized and given a ribbon and a pocket cross. I know I greatly appreciated it as well thanks a lot guys for giving me a separate certificate of appreciation just for me. That whole event was supposed to be just for the unit but it was a very much appreciated surprise. Thanks again guys and please never stop showing your support. We do what we do because of people like yourselves who stand behind us for without your support we would not be able to accomplish our missions.

Veteran’s Day Service – 11/15/09

Please convey our profound thanks to the Brazoria County Cavalry for their support and attendance at our Military Appreciation Service.  Words cannot adequately convey what the Cavalry meant to our people.  Those who served our country, their widows and families felt your genuine appreciation for their service and sacrifice.  Mayor Bob Sipple spoke of the tremendous job your organization does to support our men and women in uniform.  Keep up the good work.  You guys (and gals) are the best!

Randi Stine – 11/14/09

I just wanted to thank each and every one of you that came out on the 14th. I was greatly surprised, for one, because I didn’t know you were coming and two, honored that you gathered just to honor my service in the Air Force. It was one of the most memorable things that I will always hold dear to my heart. It really makes me happy to know that there are people out there that support our troops and are willing to stand up and say so. All too often our men and women in uniform, not only military but, police, firefighters and EMS, are not recognized for the true sacrifices and danger that we put our selves in on a daily basis. One of your members said something that touched my heart. He said, just because we are not physically in Afghanistan or Iraq does not mean that we are not in harms way. There is danger every where we turn. People out there are plotting to hurt us in any way possible. 9/11 proved that. You have no idea what an impact that you made on me that day. It still gets to me to this day as I am sitting here in Germany, with the knowledge of knowing that back home I have a much larger family now that is there to stand beside me and support me in my actions to protect the freedoms that we as Americans enjoy, all the while other spit in our faces and shove their noses up at the work that we risk our lives for everyday to give them the luxury that they have and the ability to say the negative things they do about the job we are doing. And I do it with pride and dignity and will never regret the choice that I have made to serve and honor OUR country. Once again, thank you for your support and thank you to all the members of the cavalry who have once wore the uniforms that stand for our AMAZING TRUE HERO’S!! You will always be in my heart and may God bless you all.
