John & Pat Moore – 12/26/09

To the Members of the Brazoria County Cavalry:

We would like to express our surprise and our appreciation with your showing up on December 26 to help celebrate our fiftieth wedding anniversary. The Cavalries’ support of our nation’s service men and women, be they military, law enforcement, firefighters or EMT’s, provides a special boost in spirits to those returning from harms way or deploying to harms way or families grieving the loss of a fallen hero. Never would we have expected to be included with the many people you have honored with your rides. Thank you very much and keep up the good work. It send chills up our spines each time we see you all ride by going to the home of a departing or returning service member or escorting a fallen hero to his or her final resting place. We were honored and humbled by this experience.

William “Billy” Aker – 12/19/09

I want to thank each one of you that participated on December 19, 2009 in my son’s homecoming and his next deployment. It was a very special ceremony and each of you did a wonderful job. Thank you again and may GOD bless you all.

Nathan Christopher – 12/19/09

Thank you so much. I can’t express how moved I was when I saw all of  those bike’s coming down the road. My son Nathan was really surprised to, his eyes got so big, all he could say was man.
I was glad to see when some of the Cavalry sat down an had some BQ after the event was over. You guy’s are A true blessing. If there is anything I can do for you let me know.  Again Thank You so much May GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!

Yours truly,

 Debra Leary

Thank You!

Thank you ever so much for taking time from your busy schedule to come by to see Leroy. He has wanted to do this for a long time. When Leroy’s brother died the minister stated in his service that when we pray for comfort God answers by sending friends. Your group was that answer. I feel perhaps it was a mutual need.
It is so good to hear Leroy humming again and teasing me as he used to do. I feel his thinking has surely turned around. It has been a heavy load for him and for the family. As I have told him it is not in his province to say who lives and dies but for the ones spared find that purpose and we are so grateful that we have been permitted to have a loving and adoring family.

God Bless.

Peyton Ricker – 12/5/09

We owe you all a big thank you from Peyton and our family. He has finally reached the point where there are very few things that the typical eight year old enjoys doing that he can still do. Quite frankly things like you all did on Saturday make him feel special and provide a tremendous distraction from the trial he is passing through. My wife and I continue to be both amazed and grateful for the outpouring of support and prayers on behalf of our family. Thank you all and may God Bless each of you for the self-less service you provide to others.
