7/17/10 – Evan Goff

Dear Cavalry,

All we can say is…WOW and THANK YOU!  That was a very special and emotional event!  Evan was very touched and completely blown away with what y’all did on Saturday.  He has talked with us about it a lot since Saturday.   You made his R&R time something very special that he will never forget!

God bless y’all,

Bob and Kyndell Goff

7/17/10 – Jason Lewallen

Thank you so much for today!  Not only was my husband surprised and very honored, but honestly, the best part was my dad reading the comments about Jason.  When he got to his name, as also being honored, it brought tears to his eyes.  THAT is a moment that I will always treasure!!!

Thanks again for all you do.  Every one of them are true American Heroes!!

Sincerely,

Poncie Lewallen

Thank you so much for the send off for my grandson Alex Baker and the welcome home for my son Rory and me as well. When talking with Rory a few days ago, we were still in amazement of the turnout. It is great to know that the Cavalry is there to send off and welcome troops home. It was a very good feeling to know that people still care about this great country and the men and women who have served and continue to it. Words could never describe this day and what it meant to my family. May God bless the Cavalry.

To all Brazoria County Cavalry Members,
I would like to take an opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate everyone that came out to support my son joining the Air Force. It was a vey big surprise to him and he enjoyed it very much. He decided on his own to join the Armed Forces and I had no influence of telling him it was something he had to do. I am very proud of him for doing that. Thank you again to everyone.

7/10/10 – Aaron Engleking

I would like to extend my appreciation for you guys coming out to give my son a great send off into the Army! You guys did such a terrific job, from the arrival, gifts, hospitality, friendship, and just amazing sincerity!!  Tears were shed, along with plenty of laughter!! All in all a fantastic time!  To set the picture…Aaron was told G-ma wanted pictures of her grand kids. So they came over, and so did friends, and so did family. Aaron was getting a little puzzled at all the people showing up for “grandkid pictures”.  JD called and said they were on there way. So I brought everyone by the street to take a group picture of everyone. Being sure to face them in the direction the Cavalry would be coming from. The whole time Aaron was ready to go inside because it was so hot. He said “why in the sun dad, can’t we take it here in the shade?” I told him it would be a better picture in the sun. Well I took one, then another and another and another. I am wondering where they were at? Then I heard them coming around the corner. I started to take picture after picture to catch Aarons face as they got closer. IT WAS PERFECT!!! Aaron said he thought it was cool they drive by at the time we were going to celebrate. Then they got louder and honked and stop in front of our home. He ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!

I THANK YOU AGAIN!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
