Brazoria County Cavalry,

Thank you for all you did and continue to do for our veterans.  Saturday’s event was awesome and it was truly a blessing to see our Mayor receive the welcome home he deserves.  Again, thanks to you and the entire cavalry for what you do.

Words from Becky Rinehart 3-3-15

Brazoria County Cavalry,

We were both just overwhelmed! Joe left for Austin on Sunday and I left today for A conference in FL, so we hadn’t really had time to process. I do want you to know that so many of Joe’s friends that came were so impressed and moved by what the Cavalry does. So many said they knew of you but didn’t know what you did exactly. The cavalry is a wonderful example of what God asks each of us to do each day….hold one another up, encourage and support one another on this walk and all for his glory! Thank you for your service to our community!

I sincerely hope you will get some donations from it. You can certainly expect something from us.

Grandmother of Anthony Taylor

I want to thank you for the special day that was made for my grandson and our family.  Sorry it has taken so long to get this wrote but the move and dish internet just got up and running.
I often think of that day and am amazed every time.  It brings tears to my eyes every time.  When we arrived at Buckey’s I could not believe how many people were there.  When you told me that someone had gave you money at the station,  was a confirmation what great and wonderful people there are in this world.

The ride there was so much fun just to see my family in front of me and how much they enjoyed it.  When we turned the corner and there was all those people I could not believe it.  We had so much fun.  The generosity of people was amazing they truly are Godly.

Not only the day was amazing but you and the Wild Peach Volunteer Fire Department have contacted us to find out about Anthony and Erica are doing.  We have had a few set backs with Erica as she had surgery on her left arm.  They did get all the cancer there and will do the right arm in a few weeks.  Anthony is doing great he gained 2 pounds and so far staying healthy.

The money that Erica received helped with her chemo and the surgery that she had to pay for the copays.  She did not have that money and was worried about how she was going to come up with it.  God really works in wonderful ways by sending people to be in our lives. Your organization is unbelievable in the care you show and the amount of work you do. I was inspired by your organization of people, greatly uplifted. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

There was a man that sang and I never was able to talk to him.  I was wondering if you have his name and contact number.  That song really meant a lot and had a special meaning to our family.  My husband says he was an angel.  I really would like to talk to him if you have his number.

We felt like we did not deserve what you did and it was a wonderful moment that I will never forget.  It really has inspired me and to never give up as God is with us.
We are hoping to come the 28th of February.

Thank you and God Bless,
Debbie Dougherty

Words from Hero James Presley

Aloha!

I would just like to apologize for such a late email, but I also want to thank you for the amazing honor that was bestowed upon me. I was completely surprised and taken back by the event you put on and could not have asked for more. Groups like yours keep us military guys going, knowing that there are people proud of us for what we do. Please keep it up, and know that you are truely american heros as well. What you do is incredible. I did not recieve a letter from the man I helped save, but to me it is not a requirement. I did my duty and that is all that matters. Thank you and have a very blessed day.

Very Respectfully,

Thank you from Barrie Gilcrease

Just wanted to express my gratitude and appreciation for what you did for my family.
Linda and I both have been on many funeral escorts over the past years with both the Brazoria County Cavalry and the Matagorda County Cavalry. I know that it must have meant a lot to the families of the deceased.
Now I know for sure because I was the one that was saying goodbye to my wife of over 50 years.
You were all there for me and the other family members, Before, During, and After the service. The escort was awesome however, the outpouring of Love and Friendship from the members was what meant more than anything else. I know Linda was looking down on all of you with a big smile on her face.
Thanks to all of you
