Cavalry,
First of all amazing job, when I first contacted you I felt a little foolish, but when you showed up, it was amazing. My daddy never asked for a funeral, but loved his country to the end.

Not being able to give him a funeral, due to his donating his body to cancer research. All my daddy would have enjoyed was meeting the Brazoria County Cavalry. It wasn’t until we were there facing you, the pride you showed a true fellow American.

I saw and felt the emotions I believe my father would, and I know my daddy would have been in tears to receive the honors you presented to him on Saturday. I do fully believe in my heart my daddy was there, he wouldn’t have missed it for the world. No words can express what your team has done for us and there is no simple way to thank you. We totally loved the ceremony, bike parade everything you did was amazing and we are so grateful to you all. Thank you again from the family of our American hero Mr. Frank W Baker Jr. may he rest in peace. We also had lunch cooked for you, guess Mr. Baker forgot to mention that or we all did, lol…

It has taken me a while to collect my thoughts to let you all know how much I appreciate the love, honor and respect shown our family during Leroy’s illness and death. This love has truly sustained us and we will have wonderful memories to look back at what an awesome sight it was to have the Cavalry at the church service and serve as escort to his final rest. We are so blest to have you all as friends.

Also you all made me feel so special Sunday to be a part of your escort to the 9/11 memorial program in Lake Jackson.

To the Brazoria County Cavalry:

I wanted to take a minute to send you all a thank you.  My name is Tammy Pettigrew Ennis.  I am the niece of Leroy Walker. Although I have not officially met you, I feel as though I know you all because you deeply touched my life, as I will never forget your comforting presence at my uncle’s funeral services.  It is hard to know how to thank someone who performs such a great service to your family, but my gratitude is heart-felt and sincere.  Thank you for taking the time to attend Uncle Leroy’s funeral and to escort him to his final resting place.  Your display of goodwill and unwavering respect to an American hero warmed my heart.  I was indeed honored to share this memory with the many people who loved my uncle. Your patriotic spirit is admired, appreciated, and congratulated.  We will all miss my uncle, but his departing lesson to us demonstrated how great it is to live in America.

Sincerely,
Tammy Ennis
