3/4/2012 – Bill & Kenneth Akerstrom

I wanted to thank you for honoring my best friend Bill Akerstrom recently and thank you for the pin you awarded me for being a volunteer firefighter and EMT here in my hometown of Converse, TX. I wanted to tell you what a good job you do for our veterans and our volunteers.

3/4/2012 – Bill & Kenneth Akerstrom

My family and I want to thank you and the Brazoria County Cavalry for the large turnout Sunday to honor my brother Bill. I must say it was a big surprise to him as he was told the ride was for me! WOW what a surprise it was, when the table was turned on me. I didn’t consider 8 yrs. in the Air Force worthy of this honor compared to the 20 yrs. Bill put in! I tried to hold back the tears Sunday, but every time I look through the Photo Gallery pictures of the event my eyes just tear up from emotion! Thank everyone for making this past Sunday an everlasting memory!

3/3/2012 – Red, White & Blue Festival – Danbury

To the Brazoria County Cavalry,
Thank you for coming to the Red, White, and Blue Festival in Danbury. The Brazoria County Cavalry gave an outstanding display of appreciation and respect towards all branches of the military, to each veteran present, to families with active duty military members, and to the memory of those “who gave all for their country.” Because of the heartfelt expressions of gratitude to honor veterans and active duty personnel all over Brazoria County, the citizens of Danbury were honored that you came to our “Little Town with a Big Heart.”
God Bless America.

I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate the Brazoria County Cavalry. The weather didn’t stop them in the time they served our country, fight fires, EMTs helping others and sure didn’t stop them today. I’m proud to know you and be a part of what you stand for!!!!
May God continue to Bless all of you
