The family and friends of Jaycob Turner (U.S. Marines) would like to thank the Brazoria County Cavalry for joining with us recently in honoring our American Hero. The Cavalry really exemplifies the community spirit here in Brazoria County. So many of your patriots gave up their Sunday evening to celebrate with us and make this occasion a memorable and heartfelt event. It was more like an extended family reunion! We will always consider the Cavalry as our “family”. Thank you once again, for sharing with us and blessing us with your special care!
May God’s blessings continue with the Brazoria County Cavalry, our Military, Families, Friends, and Country!

Brazoria County Cavalry,
The surprise ride for my grandson was an amazing success! Even though it had some traffic problems, the Cavalry was faithful to come to the event. I guess that ride was “come rain, parade, or traffic snarls” the Cavalry will arrive.
Thank you so much for making the day a successful send off to my Marine on his way back to training.
God bless you all,
Claire Haynes

The Brazoria County Cavalry has done so much so unselfishly and have been so instrumental in bringing a renewed patriotism to so many felt they were forgotten. You have given recognition to everyday folks that do outstanding duty that is seldom acknowledged. You’ll never know the difference you and your family have made in my life. I’m proud to help in any way I can, you can call on me anytime.

To The Brazoria County Cavalry:
Thank you all so much for coming, honoring and encouraging our own, Bro. Roman Fiffie as he prepared to leave for the army. (boot camp) Your arrival really made a powerful impact on him, his family and all present. Also, thanks for honoring Bro. Webb Jones, Jr., our oldest member and WWII Veteran. May God continue blessing you all for being a blessing to our servicemen, women, families, county and country.
Sincerely appreciated,
Pastor Anthony J. Hall,

To the Brazoria County Cavalry and the West of the Brazos Military Moms!
I want to sincerely thank each and everyone for your part in my “Welcome Home “on the 4th of March 2012. I did not know my brother Ken was requesting this and am glad that he was surprised to be honored at the same time. Ken had invited me to come to your 4th Anniversary Celebration at the Lake Jackson Civic Center. It was there that I heard several Veterans’ relate their stories about wanting to make right the way so many soldiers were treated upon returning home during and after the Vietnam Era. I also realized that the send-offs to boot camp is now very important to these young men and women, to let them know we appreciate them wanting to continue to protect our country and freedom, while knowing there may always be a Vietnam, Korea, Iraq or Afghanistan where their life could be endangered! I also was on hand to witness your recognition of 5 residents at Sweeney House for their service to our county years ago and the two 100 year young ladies celebrating their birthday. This to touched my heart! My family and I want to say ” Thank You”, it was a very special day for me that I will always remember! I plan to “Ride” as often as I can to actively support and promote the Brazoria County Cavalry!
God Bless All Of You,
Bill Akerstrom
