Jonathan Nieto 07/26/08

I would like to say thank you again for coming out and welcoming me back Home. The sight was much more than I had ever expect, or anticipated. The outpour of support that I received from the community, only serves to remind me that all of the hard work that we do is not forgotten. I am sending more photos, i am providing my email if you would like to stay in contact: I sent the e-mail address to Roddy Mohler.
With sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks!

We want to thank you so much for the Welcome Hone you gave me and my husband. It touched us both very much. What you do for those soldiers, Airmen, Marine, or Seaman must mean the worl to them. We would like to thank you for all the gifts as well but the presentation alone is more than what we can ever ask for.
Thank you again,

July 27, 2008 I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to the Brazoria County Cavalry, for your dedication to all of our heroes that you have touched their lives forever in a special way. I am the aunt of Cody Russell, the first military wedding that you participated in. My daughter was the one that was treated like royalty on the Honda. She will remember this day for the rest of her life. Cody and his wife Carly have both served in Iraq in the Air force. Cody will be returning to Iraq. I am also a military mom, my son is serving in the Air force at Whiteman AFB in Missouri. I was also there when the cavalry came to Danbury for T.J. Rogers who had came home for R&R and was returning to Iraq serving in the Army. The picture that I am trying to create is that I have been involved in two of your rides. I have been involved as a friend, family, and as a military mom. I have experienced what the cavalry has done to touch the lives of these families. I truly feel that you give these soldiers the motivation and understanding within themselves that they are truly doing something for their country. There are people at home besides their families that care about them and appreciate what they do. I just watched the video of Mark Minks that is on your website and could not stop crying. That is what it is all about. The veteran who fought in Vietnam… he needs to know that we care! Once again I applaud your dedication. You are a special group of people and I hope I get the opportunity to be around you more often. It is always a special day to get the opportunity to honor a HERO!
Thanks for all you do,
Cyndi Russell

Tracy it was a Honor to give our hat to this young man. I watched Cody and my son play ball together starting at age seven. Cody has made our country pride. Sorry that it is still tough on me but it brings up a lot of old thoughts and its something I will have to get over, our group is doing a great thing for these young men and women. Again, it is an honor to ride with this group

Hunts for Heroes

To: Brazoria County Cavalry:
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Brazoria County Cavalry for your unselfish time to lead and escort our Heroes into our event. Truth be said, if my dad had not passed away and was not the man he was I would not be having this tournament/event. As many of you are aware, military personnel develop a lifelong fraternity. He was a proud member of this fraternity and shared and instilled his American Patriotic values in me. I know every person involved with this event and all riders share those same values. My main objective with organizing this tournament was to support and assist those heroes wounded in this War on Terror. I also wanted to unite residents, businesses and anglers of Sargent, TX, in supporting our wounded heroes and sought their involvement in this tournament to bring back the small town spirit, that is the BACKBONE of AMERICA. Your escort certainly added the American Flare to this goal. Its is very touching how the riders in your club have turned your passion of riding into such a symbol of patriotic honor. I wish I had the words to express my thanks for all of your unselfish time. I and am very proud to be associated with this community and am truly blessed with outstanding friends and family.

Sincerely,
Hector Gonzales
Tournament Director.

Dear Brazoria County Cavalry,

Hunts for Heroes would like to thank you all so much for the wonderful escort into Sargent on Friday! What a way to start the weekend! The soldiers were blown away – they could not stop talking about it and those with cameras took as many pictures as they could. Conrad Calderon was thrilled when he was able to hitch a ride with one of you – he will never forget it! Hunts for Heroes is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing outdoor-related activities to the men and women in the U.S. Military that were wounded in the war against terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan. The individuals we serve are currently receiving treatment at Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio. HFH felt very honored to take part in this incredible show of support for our warriors. We appreciate you waiting in the hot sun for us so long as we were running late. We never can predict how long the restroom/smoke breaks will take for these men and women. Again, thank you for everything – you have an amazing patriotic group!

Sincerely,
Billy Hodges
President Hunts for Heroes
