On SaturdayAugust 16,2008 we drove 6 hours to be in Angleton when our grandson Brian came home for a leave after serving in Iraq. We knew you were coming and yet when we heard the roar and the sirens and saw your group, my heart was in my throat. I lost my son,Brian’s father in 1992, when he was three. Brian never knew his Dad but I know Tim was proudly smiling on us that day. When the star spangled banner was played on the bugle, there was patriotism beyond belief! And the generous rewards like the fishing trip for four generously given by Captain Cajun Bob was greatly appreciated. Your group is amazing! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I want to THANK ALL OF YOU so much!!!
To be there and see all of that happen in person is AWESOME!!! More than any words could
EVER try to explain to anyone!! It was so wonderful what you did!!
I haven’t had a chance to look at the website yet.
Brian told me the next day, thank you, he said it was pretty amazing and a total surprise.
He liked it alot.

Thank you!!

Billy Pettey 08/16/08

I would like to take the opportunity to express my gratitude and my deepest thanks to such a wonderful group. On August 16th, we had a retirement party for Billy with his family and friends in attendance. When the sirens started and the rumble could be heard, his thought was you were bring a soldier home. But when he was told that you were coming to honor him, you could see the emotion run over him.

His family and friend have always thought so highly of him but for someone else, such as the Brazoria County Cavalry, to have honored him in that special way was simply amazing. His family though it was truly amazing as well and it could not have been more touching or perfect. Billy is the type of person who would not expect such a presentation but who would appreciate the gravity of the presentation as you have given him. I can not thank the fine men and women who took of their own time to come honor my husband enough.

You will always hold a special place in my heart for not only what you did for my husband and family but also what you do for our community and soldiers. Keep up the great work and may God ride with you and bless you.

Thank you ever so much.

To All Of The Brazoria County Cavalry:

I don’t know how I can ever truly express my appreciation for the reverence and respect that you showed for my family on August 16th. I was thoroughly impressed with the manner in which you performed your duties as escort and was delighted beyond belief when you surrounded the ceremonial crowd with the American flags. Your presence helped to high-light the ceremony and added significant value to the entire function. Words cannot completely express my gratitude, appreciation, and honour. Thank you so much for sharing your valuable time with my family and me in honouring my Uncle Jerry, Sgt. Gerald O. Davis, Jr., USMC, a True American Hero!

Thank you,
Jeri Whitehorn

Pancho Busha 08/14/09

I want to thank each and every person who came out in support of Pancho
Busha. We expected that maybe 12 people would show up but when dozens
of motorcycles, fire trucks, and police cars came down our street,
Pancho was not the only one surprised. It means a great deal to my
family that complete strangers took time out of their busy lives to pay
respect to someone that they don’t even know. We were honored by all the
Veterans who have served our country who took time out of their lives to
support the Veterans of today. I can’t speak for Pancho but when I saw
the tears, or sweat as he called it, I could tell this meant a lot to
him.

Once again thanks for everything, you guys are awesome. Keep up the
good work! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR TROOPS!
