Matagorda County Cavalry and Brazoria County Cavalry Members,

Today was a historical event in Matagorda County. This was the FIRST ride for our American Heroes organized by the Matagorda County Cavalry. I have to say WOW!!! What an awesome turn out for American Hero, Spc Michael DeWoody. I cannot say thank you enough to the many members from Brazoria County Cavalry that came to support this ride. I also want to thank the Committee Members and Officers of BCC that helped so much with staging....THANK YOU!!! I am very impressed with Matagorda County Cavalry members that turned out in force today to honor this soldier. We will be looking at adding MCC Officers in the very near future, and already have some great patriots to choose from. I want to thank the law enforcement officers that escorted us safely to the soldiers home.

What we have done today with Matagorda County Cavalry and everything that has taken place since February 2008, started from a vision that Tracy Read had. Tracy, what you started with the Brazoria County Cavalry, just to say THANK YOU to our American Heroes by showing them such tremendous support has not only grown in strength across Brazoria County, but now has branched into Matagorda County. Thank you Tracy, my brother for this vision of an awsome journey that has touched so many lives. Matagorda County Cavalry is a mirror image of Brazoria County Cavalry and will do many great things for our American Heroes.
