Brazoria County Cavalry has
been contacted to organize and assist the family of Fallen American
Hero, Army Sgt Joshua Ward of Matagorda, TX. The Ward family has
requested an escort from their home in Matagorda, TX to First Baptist
Church of Bay City, TX. We will also escort the body to Baker
Funeral Home in West Columbia TX after the service on Friday.
Please note the short staging times and please be topped off with fuel
before you get to the staging area. This will be about a 70
mile escort from the staging area to the Bay City church and then on to
Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia, TX. The VFW out of Bay City
wants to feed the Cavalry members at the staging area starting at 12:00
pm on Friday. We encourage all of you who can be at the
staging area at 2611 & 457 to get there at 12:00 pm if
possible to get some food. There will also be a visitation at
Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia, TX on Thursday Feb 19th
between
2:00 pm and 8:00 pm
for those who would like to pay their respects. This will be a
great opportunity for the Brazoria County Cavalry and others to show our
support for this Fallen American Hero and his family. Please wear
