****NOTICE**** Matagorda County Cavalry has been contacted to organize a ride to honor Fallen American Hero, USAF Major Dan Miller. There will be a "Welcome Home Tree" planted in memory of Major Dan Miller on the Palacios High School Grounds. Major Miller was aboard an AC 130 Gunship that was shot down over Laos during the Vietnam War and he was listed as MIA for 38 years. Major Miller's remains were found and returned home and he was laid to rest at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on March 29th, 2010. This will be a great opportunity for Matagorda County Cavalry and others to show our support for this Fallen American Hero. Please wear your Matagorda County Cavalry logo proudly. Note: Dress attire for this event is white shirt, black jeans and bolo tie for those that have them. If you do not have dress attire, biker attire is appropriate and welcome. Directions to Staging: Coming from Bay City, continue south on Hwy 35 into Palacios. Stay on Hwy 35, making the sharp right turn. Continue on Hwy 35 to the Family Dollar Store parking lot on the right side of the Hwy. There is a Dairy Queen across the Hwy from Family Dollar Store.
