Brazoria County Cavalry members,

The thank you letter below is to all of you. It is so important for you all to know what a difference you are making.

Brazoria County Cavalry,

I don’t know how to start this Thank you letter. I will write it straight from my heart. I was so touched today when I saw all the members of the Cavalry come help send off TJ. Today my family and I realized we are not alone when it comes to caring about my nephew PFC TJ Arturo Guzman Jr.

I had called Tracy Read last month about helping us send off TJ on his second tour. Right away he said yes give me a place and time. Thank you Tracy. TJ deploys for Iraq Nov 15 09.

It was more than we ever imagined. We had told TJ we were getting all the family together for a family picture before he was deployed. So we had family here.

He went outside when we heard sirens and we all watched fire trucks come around the corner and then all the RIDERS... Oh My... The look on TJ's face... It just brought tears to me. We told him all this was for him. And he was just looking like he could not believe it.

And then all the awards were given to him and the gifts. Today was a day we will never forget. TJ will take this with him to Iraq. He now knows about his extended family, all those men and women on bikes, fire trucks cars and all who came to honor him.

It was very touching for my whole family I wish to thank you all.

And if we can ever help you all let us know.

When these men and women got here we were strangers. Before they left we were one big family.

I do have to say this to Luis Luna. You made TJ's day by letting him sit on your bike. We all saw that big smile on his face.

Thank you all and God Bless each and every one of you.

Norma Sharp

Ps. I want to thank you so much for all you guys did. TJ was so surprised and happy about it, that last night he kept hugging me and thanking me over and over saying It was very nice and he really enjoyed it. And he would never forget this day.
